Are you seeking more information about blogging ideas for beginners? If so, welcome to Internet of Business. I am glad you have made it here and my hope is that these tips will be of assistance to you. I will not say that blogging is easy. That being said, if you use specific tactics and softwares that I mention here your chances of success will rise. In addition, it will become easier and more enjoyable. My drive to create my own blog dramatically increased when I read MJ Demarco's book Fastlane Millionaire.
He discusses in that book that most people have been taught to travel one of three ways.
- The Sidewalk
- The Slowlane
- Fastlane (i.e. use of platforms to leverage your time and finances)
There are many people who are blogging full time. In fact, some are earning full-time incomes from creating content on their blogs. I started my first blog called rundreamachieve.com back in 2011. I started studying digital entrepreneurship when I read Gary Vaynerchuck's book Crush It.
How do I start a blog with no experience?
Find out what specific topic that you love and have knowledge of and start sharing it with other people. There are some very small investments you will make when first getting started. I wrote a blog post about starting your own Siteground blog which walks you through the process. That being said, I will also mention the steps here in this post as well. What matters most is you want your blog to look professional in terms of its name.
For example, which looks better.
yourblog.blogspot.com or yourblog.com?
Remember, you are building your brand. So, you want to make sure to have a legitimate website domain. You can get yours for only $17.99 USD (or the equivalent in your countries currency) on Siteground. I operate all of my websites on Siteground. Your blog will need to also be hosted somewhere. Siteground does all of it for you in one place at just $35.88 USD per year of $3.99 USD per month. The reason for hosting is if something goes wrong with your site you will be able to access Siteground's customer service. They can have your blog back up and running in a matter of minutes.

How do bloggers get paid?
There are so many ways to get paid as a blogger. The best blogging ideas for bloggers I can share is this, solve a need that your potential customers have. What specific topic do you know well and can teach to other people. If you have a way to help someone solve a problem you are going to be a successful blogger.
Below are just some of the ways I get paid as a blogger…
- Amazon affiliate program
- Podia (I use this platform to create courses, podcasts and other digital products)
- Membership sites (also via Podia)
- Affiliates that sign up for my running affiliate program (you can sign up FREE here and start earning income yourself)
- Merch store (you can view mine here)
- Freelancing (a great way to start earning this way is via Fiverr or Freelancer)
- Google Adsense (via running ads on my sites)
- YouTube channel
Again, these are just some of many ways you can start getting paid as a blogger. There are numerous other ways which I will mention below.
How do I get my blog noticed?
Create consistent content. That being said, you don't want to write about anything that comes to mind. Again, always be thinking about your end user. What would your potential customer need? The best bloggers are always thinking about solving a need or problem within the marketplace. My top recommendation for being the best of all blogging ideas for beginners? Do proper keyword research.
I have used KWFinder for years with my own blogs. So, you want to make sure you find keywords that have low competition and high search volume when you write your blog posts. Your expertise may be in cooking or gardening. What are the specific keywords your customers are already searching for within the search engines? It is tough to find this out without having some background.
Sure, you can type in “Best tool for gardening” into google. The problem is it is not going to tell you if that keyword will be easily ranked for with your blog. So, KWFinder works in that it tells you if the keyword will be easy or very hard for you to rank for in Google. Remember, if you are not on page 1 you might as well be on page 300. Page 1 is where all of your customers are at.
The better your keyword research, the better chances your blog is going to get noticed. The reason being is you will be creating content around what your customers are already searching for. Make sense?
What are the best topics to start blogging?
Below are some of the best topics to blog about…
- Health and wellness
- Marketing
- Do it Yourself (DIY)
- finance
- Digital entrepreneurship
- Education
- Technology
Of course, there are numerous other topics that are out there that first time and even advanced bloggers are writing about.
Start a YouTube Channel
One of the best blogging ideas for beginners is to also start a YouTube channel. You can start creating content via video which you can also share on your blog. In addition, you will also have a much higher chance of growing your brand by getting started with YouTube. Remember, all successful YouTubers started at 0 subscribers.
Also, you can start earning ad revenue on your YouTube channel once you get 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time. Yes, this will take time and effort. Of course, your objective with your blog may not to make money but just to share your expertise with other people. That being said, if you want to start supplementing your income, a blog is the way to go.
So, starting a YouTube channel will only add added value to your blog and brand. In addition, it is also free to start one. I use a software called TubeBuddy to help me create YouTube videos with keywords that have low competition and high search volume.
My advice for people seeking the best blogging ideas for beginners is to think of different revenue creating income streams you can create. I am sharing some of them here in this post.
How do beginner blogs make money?
They make income via some of the ways I have mentioned above. Remember, you can also add on several other income generating streams to your blog. Yes, will need to think outside the box to do this. Our school system does not teach how to build residual income. Income that continues to come in for having worked hard once.
I am sure you work a full-time or part-time job. What type of income to most employees work for? Linear. Linear income only continues to come in if you continue to show up for work. Yes, you may love your job but will your employer continue to pay you if you don't show up? Doubtful. There are only so many hours in the day that you can provide your service to others.
So, you have to find a way to earn income regardless if you are working or not. A blog can help you do that if you are willing to put in consistent work. Again, content is king.
Closing Thoughts
I hope these blogging ideas for beginners has been helpful to you. Remember, always think of how you can solve a problem that someone else have online. I have mentioned in this post the Podia platform which will help you create a product or several products you can sell on your blog. In addition, you can create as many digital products to sell on your blog as you wish.
The great news is that Podia doesn't take any of the cut of your sale. In addition, they handle all of the credit card transactions and send you your money via PayPal or to your bank account.
