Seeking how to become a fitness blogger? If so, welcome to Internet of Business. The process of starting a lifestyle blog is not one that occurs overnight. The idea of earning passive income or sharing your expertise with the world takes a belief in delayed gratification. There are far too many people who start their blogs and stop creating content shortly after. I come from an athletic background and started my fitness blog, rundreamachieve, back in 2011. I created internet of business out of a love for business and entrepreneurship.

The biggest hurdle to overcome is simply to start. You can start a wordpress blog in less than 48 hours. Of course, making money with your experience is also possible. You can create a fitness course using a platform I use to create my own called Podia. What is nice about this is you create your course one time and are able to sell it over and over again. Residual income is not the reality for most people. So, sharing your fitness expertise, being able to impact their lives and earning passive income is icing on the cake.

How do Fitness Bloggers Make Money?

Fitness bloggers many money in many different ways. As mentioned above, using Podia you can create a product and earn passive income every time your course is sold. Affiliate marketing is another way you as a fitness expert can earn income. Affiliate marketing is a way where you can share someone else's product and each time you sell it you earn a commission from that sale.

Blogging takes time so the key to earning income blogging is building content and being patient. Of course, there are ways to speed up the process. You can invest in an aged domain or website that already has powerful backlinks pointing to it. An aged domain is a website that has expired but already has authoritative websites linking to it. Yes, you can still start your brand new website as well. The only drawback to doing it this way is it will take longer for your content to start being noticed within the search engines and by Google.

Are Fitness Blogs Worth It?

Yes. There are people online earning 6 figures per month, residually. No, these individuals are not earning that kind of money without first putting in the up front work in order to make it a reality. Who doesn't want to earn a few extra streams of income right? It is the process that goes into the event (end goal) that most people are unwilling to do. So, you have to have a long-term approach. I have had rundreamachieve.com for 10 years at the time of this blog post (July 2021). That being said, it has taken several years to get to a point where I am making legitimate monthly income from blogging about fitness.

The beauty of being a fitness blogger is you don't have to quit your job. You can still work your full-time or part-time job and build your fortune in your spare time. So, focus on adding a couple blog posts each week to your fitness blog. Remember, this isn't a sprint but a marathon. People all over the world are seeking to be fitter and many have a desire to leave their world of owing a bank or bill collector money. Furthermore, starting a lifestyle blog around a passion you have is very rewarding.

How do Health Blogs Make Money?

You can create a health or fitness blog revolved around severals fitness or health-related topics. I have a website focused on Herbalife so utilize network marketing to generate residual income. Again, income earned via network marketing comes by way of helping other people to get what they want first. So, it is never about us but about how we can solve problems for others. You can also utilize the following as other ways and means of earning passive income with your fitness blog

  1. Consultation and other services
  2. Signup for affiliate products and share them on your blog
  3. Share or create digital products such as online courses you create or someone else does
  4. Share e-books, tool kits or checklists that can solve problems for others
  5. Use Google Adsense and advertise on your blog
  6. Sponsorship.
  7. Sell Physical Products on your fitness blog

Are Health Blogs Profitable?

Health blogs can be very profitable but not without creating up-front value for others first. The process of generating quality content cannot be overlooked. It takes time and effort to create products. Of course, you can still share products that other people have created and bypass this process. That being said, the focus always needs to be on the needs of others first. So, if you have that servant leadership mindset you will be a successful fitness blogger.

Profitability from blogging can be done. Yes, it takes effort and the problem for most is they simply are not willing to put in the up front time and effort. The vast majority of employees around the world are living paycheck to paycheck. It isn't their fault either. It is the way they as well as us have been taught to earn income. Our school system taught us to trade time for money via a job. Of course, income is still income so working hard for linear income can still put you on the path to get you to where you want to go.

That being said, linear income is very limiting. What happens to your paycheck the moment you stop stop showing up for work? Does your employer continue to pay you regardless if you show up or not? Of course not. Therein lies the problem with all jobs. Your pay is tied to you. So, you need to focus on generating income while you sleep. In addition, regardless what you are doing.

How Do I Start Blogging?

I would first visit wordpress.com and find a blog name that you want to start with. Serious fitness bloggers also know that there are expenditures that come with blogging but they are minimal. Your website will require hosting. I use Siteground. You can also visit siteground.com and get hosting of your blog for only $4.95 USD per month or $59.40 USD per year. These are very small fees when it comes to the overall, long-term success of your fitness blog.

Closing Thoughts

I hope this post on how to become a fitness blogger has been helpful to you. Again, it is a process and takes time but can be very rewarding if you stick with it. I mentioned Podia above for a reason. It is very nice to create a product once and continue to get paid over and over again for years after from taking action. It doesn't require you having to be somewhere in order to get paid which is the case when you work a job.

Passive income is not remotely close to the same as linear income employees have to keep working hard for. Yes, it does require time at first to create. That being said, once you have created a product once it is more of a sit and forget process. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also a big believer in the network marketing business principle as well.
