Work Smarter, Not Harder

The late Jim Rohn said it best, “People Would Do Better if they Knew Better“. The majority of us were not taught how to build residual income and especially online. What we were taught is how to work hard for linear income i.e. trade time for money. Internet of Business teaches how to earn while you sleep.

Pros and Cons of Blogging in 2021

The pros and cons of blogging are many. There are numerous ways to generate income online but you really have to be patient to make it a reality. The facts are blogging takes time and patience. The process of earning income online takes even longer if you start a website from scratch. The great news is that if you take your time you truly can impact your financial future.

I started blogging in 2011 starting a website from scratch called rundreamachieve.com. As a 2:19 marathoner I wanted to start a blog revolved around running and fitness. Internet of Business was an investment as it was an aged domain that I chose to purchase. The reason I did this was it was a website that already was established. Aged domains already have powerful websites pointing to them. So, the process of ranking specific posts comes somewhat faster.

What are the Advantages of Blogging

The advantages of blogging is you can…

Impact other Peoples Lives

The fact that you can share your expertise and knowledge with others is huge. There are people all over the world who are waiting for what you have to share. The biggest step in starting your blog is simply that, starting. You need to take that first step and create that initial post. Remember, gone are the days of all you need is to write a 300-word post. Google prefers longer, more informative posts. So, take your time and write longer posts that create value first. Focus on the needs of others first and worry about what you want second.

The result of this mindset is that you will succeed. I prefer a software called Podia. Podia allows bloggers to create a digital product that can be sold over and over again. So, if you have a love or passion than create a product that someone else can benefit from. You can take a look at my running courses here.

Drive Traffic

The beauty of consistent content creation is that people will start to visit your website. So, if you create a product or write a blog post of interest to others it can be beneficial. In addition, not only to you but more importantly, to them. Remember, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Yes, there are pros and cons of blogging but there pros outweigh the cons.

So, focus on helping other people first. The problem I have seen for many people seeking to make money is their focus is on them and not on others. You have to create the value first. So, the more blog posts you write the more traffic will eventually be coming to your site. Also, as your traffic increases your chances of earning additional income becomes a possibility.

Earn Passive Income

Make no mistake about it, earning income online is not an overnight process. It may take months to several years before you can start building residual income. The easiest way to start earning revenue is to utilize Google Adsense. Adsense is a platform created by Google that allows advertisers to advertise their products on your blog. The ads can come in text or graphic format and when someone click on them you earn income.

The legitimate income only comes when you have some traffic going to your site. The key thing you want to keep in mind is this. Use softwares that will help you find what your customers are searching for in the search engines. I use kwfinder.com. Kwfinder helps you find low competition, high volume keywords that your potential customers may be searching for. So, it is very important not to just write about anything.

Create a Brand

Starting a blog can become a business if you choose to make it one. You can create your own brand revolved around something that you love. Remember, pick a subject matter that you know well and can write about. It is much easier to create a website around topics that you have a great deal of passion for. Blogging takes more time and effort than vlogging. Vlogging is similar to blogging but you create your content via making videos.

My nutrition geeks brand website focuses on joining Herbalife. Herbalife is a network marketing company revolved around fitness, wellness and nutrition. That being said, nutrition geeks is my brand that is generated revolved around sharing Herbalife with other people. How to make money with WordPress in 48 hours can be achieved. More importantly, seeking how to earn income online is a focus for many people. There are far too many employees working jobs trading time for money. In addition, they are living paycheck to paycheck.

The beauty of blogging is you can work at your own pace. Furthermore, you can work as little or as much as you wish on your website.

Become an Expert

We all have subject matters we are good at and can contribute to others with. Starting your blog and staying persistent is key to blogging. The longer you focus on creating content for your blog the more you are going to be seen as an expert. I have been creating blog and vlog content at rundreamachieve.com for over 10 years at the time of this writing (30 July 2021). No, it was not easy. Internet of Business is a relatively new website but also an aged domain. So, I am not starting from scratch like I did with rundreamachieve.com. There are more pros and cons of blogging when you start from scratch. It takes longer for your articles to be found on Google brand new websites.

Of course, you can still succeed. It just takes more time.

So, use the expertise and knowledge that you have other people are going to desire to listen to. Remember, success as a blogger certainly does not happen overnight. That being said, if you care consistent and persistent there is no reason why you cannot succeed.

What are the Disadvantages of Blogging

It Takes Time

One of the biggest hurdles for blogger is the fact that results don’t come quickly. I would highly recommend starting your own YouTube channel. The reason being is that it is free. In addition, you can share the YouTube videos that you make in your blog posts. Also, it doesn’t cost any money to start your own YouTube channel either.

You Have to Be Motivated

You really need to create a schedule and stick to it with blogging. I have known many people over the years who wondered how I make money online. I tell them but the process of work is what most are unwilling to do. Of course, not everyone has a goal of becoming entrepreneur via blogging. Remember, you can start a blog without a high focus on making money.

There are many people who simply want to create a blog revolved around something they love. That being said, most people who visit internet of business do have a desire to generate an additional source of income. Passive income can and is a reality for many people. No, it is not a walk in the park. You will need to be motivated in order to generate a legitimate income with your blog.

Can Be Difficult if Writing Is Hard for You

Of course, don’t let this stop you. You can always hire someone else to write content for you if you wish. I highly recommend Fiverr.com. Fiverr is a great platform that has people with specific skills that can help you bypass mistakes you may make. You can hire a professional to design your website, write your content or make logos for you. There are professionals there that have expertise from web design to search engine optimization and more. So, utilize it. You will most certainly be glad that you did.

I have used fiverr.com for years now. I am a firm believer in working smarter rather than harder. Remember, you want to use leverage with your blog. Are you not a fan of writing? Well, hire someone else to write for you if you wish. Do you love to write? Great. Hire someone else to get your website up and running.

There is a Learning Curve

It takes time to learn the process of starting a blog and all that goes into it. Fortunately, sites like Siteground.com is a great resource that I use. Websites are hosted on platforms like this. They keep your website working optimally. In addition, if anything technical goes wrong with your website these registrars and hosts of websites will ensure that it is up and running quickly. Again, the process of learning can be drastically increased as well.

You can always hire professionals to assist you as I mentioned above with Fiverr.com.

Closing Thoughts

I hope this posts on the pros and cons of blogging has been helpful to you. Remember, take your time and write consistent content. Again, it takes time and patience to build traffic. The key is consistency and finding content that you truly want to write about. So, share your passion. Passive income can be a reality. Linear income, trading time for money, is what most of us have been taught. The ability to generate income residually is something most of us were never taught in our school systems.

My goal with Internet of Business is to ensure you are provides some tips and strategies to start earning while you sleep. No, it isn’t easy but is definitely possible. The pros and cons of blogging will be there so mindset is critical for success.

How to Become a Fitness Blogger

Seeking how to become a fitness blogger? If so, welcome to Internet of Business. The process of starting a lifestyle blog is not one that occurs overnight. The idea of earning passive income or sharing your expertise with the world takes a belief in delayed gratification. There are far too many people who start their blogs and stop creating content shortly after. I come from an athletic background and started my fitness blog, rundreamachieve, back in 2011. I created internet of business out of a love for business and entrepreneurship.

The biggest hurdle to overcome is simply to start. You can start a wordpress blog in less than 48 hours. Of course, making money with your experience is also possible. You can create a fitness course using a platform I use to create my own called Podia. What is nice about this is you create your course one time and are able to sell it over and over again. Residual income is not the reality for most people. So, sharing your fitness expertise, being able to impact their lives and earning passive income is icing on the cake.

How do Fitness Bloggers Make Money?

Fitness bloggers many money in many different ways. As mentioned above, using Podia you can create a product and earn passive income every time your course is sold. Affiliate marketing is another way you as a fitness expert can earn income. Affiliate marketing is a way where you can share someone else’s product and each time you sell it you earn a commission from that sale.

Blogging takes time so the key to earning income blogging is building content and being patient. Of course, there are ways to speed up the process. You can invest in an aged domain or website that already has powerful backlinks pointing to it. An aged domain is a website that has expired but already has authoritative websites linking to it. Yes, you can still start your brand new website as well. The only drawback to doing it this way is it will take longer for your content to start being noticed within the search engines and by Google.

Fitness bloggers make money by creating value for other people. Make no mistake about it. You have to have a focus on the needs of others first. So, worry about what you want second and you will be setting yourself up for success. Remember, focus on problem solving and creating solutions for other people first. How to become a fitness blogger? Be persistent and take daily action to building your blog.

Are Fitness Blogs Worth It?

Yes. There are people online earning 6 figures per month, residually. No, these individuals are not earning that kind of money without first putting in the up front work in order to make it a reality. Who doesn’t want to earn a few extra streams of income right? It is the process that goes into the event (end goal) that most people are unwilling to do. So, you have to have a long-term approach. I have had rundreamachieve.com for 10 years at the time of this blog post (July 2021). That being said, it has taken several years to get to a point where I am making legitimate monthly income from blogging about fitness.

The beauty of being a fitness blogger is you don’t have to quit your job. You can still work your full-time or part-time job and build your fortune in your spare time. So, focus on adding a couple blog posts each week to your fitness blog. Remember, this isn’t a sprint but a marathon. People all over the world are seeking to be fitter and many have a desire to leave their world of owing a bank or bill collector money. Furthermore, starting a lifestyle blog around a passion you have is very rewarding.

How do Health Blogs Make Money?

You can create a health or fitness blog revolved around severals fitness or health-related topics. I have a website focused on Herbalife so utilize network marketing to generate residual income. Again, income earned via network marketing comes by way of helping other people to get what they want first. So, it is never about us but about how we can solve problems for others. You can also utilize the following as other ways and means of earning passive income with your fitness blog

  1. Consultation and other services
  2. Signup for affiliate products and share them on your blog
  3. Share or create digital products such as online courses you create or someone else does
  4. Share e-books, tool kits or checklists that can solve problems for others
  5. Use Google Adsense and advertise on your blog
  6. Sponsorship.
  7. Sell Physical Products on your fitness blog
  8. Join a network marketing company like Herbalife
  9. Write a fitness or health-related book and sell it on your website

Are Health Blogs Profitable?

Health blogs can be very profitable but not without creating up-front value for others first. The process of generating quality content cannot be overlooked. It takes time and effort to create products. Of course, you can still share products that other people have created and bypass this process. That being said, the focus always needs to be on the needs of others first. So, if you have that servant leadership mindset you will be a successful fitness blogger.

Profitability from blogging can be done. Yes, it takes effort and the problem for most is they simply are not willing to put in the up front time and effort. The vast majority of employees around the world are living paycheck to paycheck. It isn’t their fault either. It is the way they as well as us have been taught to earn income. Our school system taught us to trade time for money via a job. Of course, income is still income so working hard for linear income can still put you on the path to get you to where you want to go.

That being said, linear income is very limiting. What happens to your paycheck the moment you stop stop showing up for work? Does your employer continue to pay you regardless if you show up or not? Of course not. Therein lies the problem with all jobs. Your pay is tied to you. So, you need to focus on generating income while you sleep. In addition, regardless what you are doing.

How Do I Start Blogging?

I would first visit wordpress.com and find a blog name that you want to start with. Serious fitness bloggers also know that there are expenditures that come with blogging but they are minimal. Your website will require hosting. I use Siteground. You can also visit siteground.com and get hosting of your blog for only $4.95 USD per month or $59.40 USD per year. These are very small fees when it comes to the overall, long-term success of your fitness blog.

Siteground is very easy to use and they handle all of the upkeep of your website including back ups, e-mail services and more.

Closing Thoughts

I hope this post on how to become a fitness blogger has been helpful to you. Again, it is a process and takes time but can be very rewarding if you stick with it. I mentioned Podia above for a reason. It is very nice to create a product once and continue to get paid over and over again for years after from taking action. It doesn’t require you having to be somewhere in order to get paid which is the case when you work a job.

Passive income is not remotely close to the same as linear income employees have to keep working hard for. Yes, it does require time at first to create. That being said, once you have created a product once it is more of a sit and forget process. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also a big believer in the network marketing business principle as well. Herbalife has been around since 1980. You can also join Herbalife and start sharing their products with people on your fitness blog as well.
