The IRS considers mobile homes, RVs and vans to be homes. Of course, you will need to follow your states' protocols to live in a permitted space like a van dwelling.
Remember, you can also pursue of being a digital entrepreneur living in a van too. Again, if you have zero debt and low overhead costs, van life is the way to go. In addition, no distractions and person to report to. Also, no board rooms meetings, powerpoint or excel spreadsheets to create for someone else. So, you get to work for yourself and from whatever location you choose.

There are some van dwellers who also have access to or have negotiated deals to park their van on private property. So, there are options out there for you for sure. Yes, you may even find people living the van life parked in Wal-Mart parking lots.
