Why is it so interesting to desire to be a lifestyle entrepreneur? Leverage. Leverage simply means doing more with less. How many hard working, highly educated people do you know who are barely making ends meet financially? I have known many. Why are 78 percent of the working population in the united States of America living paycheck to paycheck? They have been taught an old, tired Industrial Aged philosophy of trading time (life) for money.
Yes, there are most certainly people who love their jobs and you may be one of them. So, my focus in writing this is not to disrespect employees. It is only to remind you of what it is going on. The best decision you can make as a lifestyle entrepreneur is to get involved in digital entrepreneurship. The idea of creating a digital product that solves other people's problems was not taught to us.
We were not taught how to make money work hard for us in our school systems. What were we taught? How to climb the corporate ladder and work hard for money. There are only 24 hours in a day and only so much service you can provide at your job. In addition, most employees have a ceiling on their income.
Is being an entrepreneur a lifestyle?
There is nothing guaranteed as an entrepreneur. The vast majority of people are taught to be employees and rightly so. The good thing with working a full-time or part-time is at least you have a paycheck coming in. Digital entrepreneurs much like being a lifestyle entrepreneur requires you to think outside the box. You need to be working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on how to solve a problem.
The best way to be successful as an entrepreneur is to be consistent in your actions. Remember, your work output will dictate your level of success. The more time you spend in creating solutions to problems that other people have the better off, you will be. The focus should never be on what you want but what other people want. So, focus all of your attention as a lifestyle entrepreneur on providing value for others.
LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PINTEREST TRAFFIC AVALANCHE COURSEHow do start my own business?
One of the best ways to start your own online business is to invest in a siteground blog. It is only $17.99 USD to buy your own website domain. Of course, you will need to have your website hosted somewhere. I recommend Siteground as they only charge $3.99 USD per month or just over $35 per year.
Blogging is one of the best ways to build your brand and be a lifestyle entrepreneur. I would also highly recommend checking out Alex and Lauren's, founder of Create and Go, six figure blogger course. I invested in this course to help improve upon the other blogs I have online.
Yes, it has taken up-front work but am now earning residual income online. Remember, you want to study what successful people do and duplicate their work habits. Passive income is possible as a lifestyle entrepreneur but you have to be willing to put in the work first.
Money doesn't grow on trees? Not true. You can build 1 or multiple online money trees that will yield you fruit (profits). That being said, you have to nurture and build them first. The reality is most people are unwilling to persist long enough in order to see this become a reality.
What is the easiest business to start?
A home based business is a very easy business to start. Of course, building it and increasing your number of customers and fellow distributors is the hard part. Yes, it can be done as I have a home based business with Herbalife. I have been with them for over 3 years now. No, I didn't start making money in the first week but did in the first 3 months. I used search engine optimization to do it. The vast majority of distributors for multi-level marketing companies are taught to use social media.
Of course, it works for many but I didn't want to chase people down. In addition, spam people with messages with Facebook or Instagram. My goal was to create value online at nutritiongeeks. The end result was to let the people who visited the site make up their own mind. They could join if they liked the content I created there. So, I didn't have to keep sending messages. Again, the end goal of every lifestyle entrepreneur should be to use leverage.
Create value for other people whether via blogging or vlogging. The main take away here is to make sure you are using tools that will help set you up for success. You don't want to guess about what your customers are typing into the search engines.
What skills does an entrepreneur need?
Persistent and consistent action. Lifestyle entrepreneurs should always be seeking to use leverage. I already know you know how to work hard. Does hard work create financial freedom? We already know for many people it does not. Why? We have been taught to rely on one source of income. How can you get ahead financially if you have 10 to 15 bills to pay but only 1 source of income? The paycheck is not getting it done for most people.
As mentioned above, as you build your business online you need to utilize tools to help you succeed. KWFinder is one such tool perfect for new or established bloggers. It will ensure you are writing about keywords that have low competition and high search volume. A major mistake I see a lot of bloggers making is writing about anything that comes to mind. Remember, you can write the best blog post. What if no one can find it?
So, it is essential that you find keywords that you can rank for. It is even more important if you have a new blog with no traffic going to it. The best way to gain readers and increase your traffic is using search engine optimization. Scroll up and click on the blue link where I discuss the 6 figure blogger course. Do you want to make six figures online monthly with your blog? I highly suggest taking a look at that course. No, it isn't an easy process but if others can do it so can you.
How do lifestyle brands make money?
There are multiple ways to build your brand online and make money. No, you will not here about these even in business schools. I hold an MBA from Purdue University and never heard about these methods. In fact, I am currently finishing my Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Missouri-St Louis and have yet to hear about any of these methods…
- Create a course with Podia – Yes, it takes time to create one but once it is made it is made. You don't have to keep creating new courses unless you choose to. Podia charges one flat fee of $33 and they don't take any transaction fees when you sell the course you make. Also, you can make as many courses you want and the fee per month remains the same.
- Start a YouTube channel – I wish I would have done this sooner but it is never too late to get started. Also, it doesn't cost any money to start a YouTube channel. The best way to build your lifestyle entrepreneur business is get your brand, products and services to as many people as possible. A blog is only one way to do this. I highly recommend you invest in TubeBuddy though. TubeBuddy will ensure you are using correct keywords in the title of your YouTube videos. Again, use leverage!
Affiliate Marketing
- Share other people's products – Affiliate marketing is one way to build additional revenue streams. The more of these you can create the more money you can put back into your business. You can share the products I have created and earn a 40% commission. For example, I sell my Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course for $197. So, my affiliates earn $78.80 USD every time someone buys one of my courses using your affiliate link. Sign up for free to become a RunDreamAchieve affiliate.
What are examples of revenue streams?
Membership sites are another revenue stream you can build. Podia makes it simple to do this. Yes, you will have to create exclusive, private content. That being said, the more customers that join your membership site the higher your monthly income will go. Again, this is just one of many other revenue streams you can build. No, you will not hear about these in business school.
Business schools are there for employees seeking to be highly paid managers. I was not taught any of this working toward my MBA. So, to be a successful lifestyle entrepreneur you have to think outside the box. You only have 24 hours in a day. Yes, you may love your job but there is only so many hours in a day you can provide that service to others.
You need to find additional ways to generate income throughout the day whether you are working or not. Residual income is not the same as the linear income you earn at a job. Residual (passive) income continues to come in for having worked hard once.
