Blogging love or having the desire to be successful as a blogger is not enough. There are far too many bloggers who quit too soon. Who doesn’t want to generate passive income online right? We all have been taught to work hard and trade time for linear income at our jobs. What happens the moment you and I stop showing up? Does your employer continue to pay you regardless if you report to work or not? Of course not.
Your income is tied to your time. Of course, there are many people who love what they do “for a living”. In addition, may have a boss that respects them and co-workers they like to work with. The beauty of digital entrepreneurship is that you can still work the job you love or hate ad build your fortune in your spare time. So, your success goes beyond blogging love. You have to be fully committed to the success journey.
Why do people love blogging?
People love blogging for various reasons. It may be a hobby for some or a full-time job for others. You can be creative as you wish to be with a blog. In addition, you can create your own products and write about topics that you care about with a blog. One of the big mistakes that may bloggers make is writing about anything that comes to mind. So, you want to be strategic in how you write your blog posts.
I use a tool called KWFinder. KWFinder helps me find low competition, high demand keywords that I can rank for. Remember, you want to see how keywords that your potential customers are already searching for. Are you at skateboarding? Do you have a specific skill? Why not create a course and help other people fix a problem that they may have. Perhaps they are bad at math and you are great at it. You can create a course using Podia and start earning residual income.
How so? Once your course is created you can write a blog post about topics surrounding it. Again, if you do proper keyword research your chances of getting more potential customers to your course rises. So, it is absolutely essential that you write about keywords that people are already searching for.
Do blogs really make money?
Blogs make money but not without blog owners who are fully committed. Blogging success does not come in a matter of days but several month and years. I have had my fitness website, rundreamachieve.com since 2011. In addition, my nutrition website nutritiongeeks.com since 2019. In addition, have been writing weekly posts on both of them for years. I have also worked to create value on all my websites to help other people succeed.
So, in order to succeed you really have to always place your focus on the needs of other people. Is there a solution you can offer to a problem that someone else has? if so, your chances of earning income with your blog rises. Are you willing to be consistent each week for months and years? Well, you certainly have a short for success. Again, blogging love is a small part of overall blogging success.
Can a personal blog make money?
Of course but not without effort. Digital entrepreneurs are always focused on providing solutions to others. You can create your own course as mentioned above with Podia. Podia also does not take any percentage of your sales. So, you can make as many courses as you wish and it is still $33 per month. Yes, it will take time and effort in order to create a course. That being said, once it is made you can continue to make sales for years to come.
So, you may have blogging love and the desire to succeed but how long are you willing to persist? Remember, you can also share other people’s products and earn commissions by way of your blog too. Also, it doesn’t cost any money to sign up as an affiliate. For example, I pay my affiliates a 40% commission to share my running courses. My Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course sells for $197. So, my affiliates earn $78.80 USD each time they share their affiliate link and someone purchases any of my courses.
Blogging is just as much relevant today in 2022 as it was in 2011 when I started blogging. Again, blogging love and having that desire to succeed is the first step. I highly recommend using tools mentioned in this post to help you speed up your learning curve. There are two courses I have shared within this post you will find by clicking on either of the two buttons on this post.
The two courses I have shared here are a great way to learn what successful bloggers do to succeed. The first is the 6-figure blogger course and the other is the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche courses. Again, courses are designed to serve two purposes. One, they help solve a problem that someone needs and hopefully they do a good job of achieving that. Secondly, they help the individual(s) who created them to earn residual (passive) income.
I have blog posts that I have written here that took me over 5 hours to write. For example, the post I wrote on digital entrepreneurship. It is over 7,000 words in length. That being said, you don’t have to write a blog post that long. I have blog posts that are less than 1000 words that rank in Google. Again, it is about the quality and attention you put into your blog posts that count most.
Of course, there are people who will desire for a shorter post while others want something more. So, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours to write a legitimate blog post.
I hope that this post has been helpful to you. I have also attached the button below if you are interested in KWFinder. It is a must-have resource for bloggers seeking to get more traffic to their website. In addition, will be very helpful for you in finding low competition, highly searched keywords for your particular niche.
Are you seeking how to start a blog in South Africa? If so, welcome to Internet of Business. I hope that the strategies and tips discussed in this post will help you start to earn income online. No, blogging is not a get rich quick scheme. Of course, I would rather get rich quick than get rich slow. So, having a desire to earn income fast is respectable. That being said, blogging is a long-term mindset. Yes, you can definitely earn passive (residual) income via your blog.
You have to be consistent in your content creation. In addition, you have to do proper keyword research as well. The reason being is you want to grow traffic to your blog. Do you have a brand new blog or considering starting your first blog? If so, then you definitely need to take heed to these strategies. There are many people searching for how to start a blog in South Africa. The biggest reason is they know a paycheck is not enough.
One, you have to keep showing up to work in order to get paid. Two, your pay is tied to your time. Lastly, there are only 24 hours in a day. So, you have a ceiling on your income. Yes, you may love what you do for a living but you and I need rest and sleep. We can’t work 24 hours in a day. So, it is essential to build revenue streams that will continue to pay you while you sleep. In addition, throughout the day without you having to be present like you do at your job.
How do I start a blog in South Africa and make money?
The first step is to invest in buying your domain name. I use and have used Siteground for all of my websites. Siteground will also host your website as well. So, if anything goes wrong with it you will have the customer support that you need. You can buy your domain for $17.99 USD or the equivalent in New Zealand dollars. Digital entrepreneurship is one of the wisest methods of earning additional income online today.
The reason is you can create a product that can help someone else solve a problem that they have. My top recommendation is to focus your efforts on helping others first. So, make sure you are creating content revolved around providing value for other people. What product can you create or share with someone else that can help solve a need that they have? Are you a subject matter expert in a specific field or subject? Why not create a course with Podia and sell it over and over again with your blog?
Once you have bought your domain name you can then have Siteground upload your blog to WordPress. You can then start writing blog posts. Remember, you don’t want to write blog posts about anything that comes to mind. Again, you want to be strategic about how you blog. The best bloggers are always seeking leverage. Leverage simply means doing more with less.
Invest in a Blogging Course
An additional way of how to start a blog in South Africa is to invest in a blogging course. I purchased the 6 figure blogger course taught by Lauren over at CreateandGo.com. It is a much better method of studying what works rather than just guessing. One of the best ways to speed up your learning is to study what the best bloggers are doing to earn income.
Remember, content is very important. Also, consistency. So, focus on writing at least 1 new blog post per week. Of course, take your time with this as there is no rush. That being said, to be a successful blogger you have to get traffic to your website. The more content you create the higher your chances of new people reaching what you have to share.
Build products that create value for other people. For example, I create running courses for middle to long distance runners on my fitness websites, rundreamachieve.com and nutritiongeeks.com. So, these are ways that I generate income. That being said, the income only comes from first building trust with my visitors. Again, your focus has to be on others before your own needs and desires.
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care
Zig Ziglar, entrepreneur
You can make R1000 a day but it isn’t going to occur in a matter of a few weeks. I would recommend giving yourself 6 months to a year and focus first on generating as much content as you can. Also, use tools like KWFinder to ensure you are finding low competition, high search volume keywords. I have used KWFinder for years to help ensure that I am writing about keywords that people are already searching for in the search engines.
As mentioned above, Podia is a must have if you want to generate R1000 a day. Again, create products such as courses or make a website with the Podia platform. The more courses you can create the higher your passive income has the potential of going. Also, Podia doesn’t take any of your sales either. Yes, zero transaction fees. So, you can create as many courses as you like. It is only $33 USD (or the equivalent in SA dollars) per month too.
What can I sell to make extra money in South Africa?
Create your own products and sell them on your blog. Of course, you don’t always have to make your own products. Affiliate marketing is another great way of how to start a blog in South Africa. Remember, the first step is to purchase your domain with Siteground. Once you have done that you can start building revenue streams and adding them to your blog. For example, writing blog posts, sharing other people’s products (affiliate marketing) or your own products. Remember, joining as an affiliate for someone else’s products is free.
For example, my affiliates who share my running courses earn a 40% commission on every sale they make. My Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course sells for $197 USD. So, my affiliates earn $78.80 USD every time someone purchases my course using their affiliate link. Join now to be a RunDreamAchieve affiliate.
You can also join a network marketing company and write blog posts about the companies products you joined. So, there are numerous ways of adding revenue streams to your blog. You just have to think outside the box. Again, the strategies I am discussing here in this post definitely work. The downside is that it takes time and consistency in order to start earning income.
I’d love to keep in touch with you. Make sure to subscribe to the Internet of Business YouTune channel. I create new business and entrepreneurial content there each week. How to start a blog in South Africa is the same around the world. Your first major step is to purchase your domain (website) name. The next step is to have your registrar (Siteground) help you in uploading your new website to WordPress. The good news is that it doesn’t take long to do this and Siteground customer support is outstanding.
Your new blog can be up and running in a matter of a few minutes. The next move on your part is to start writing content. Remember, focus on using KWFinder to ensure that you find easy keywords that your new blog can rank for. Again, the more people that can find you the more people you can help solve a problem that they may have.
Who doesn’t want to earn more money right? Who doesn’t want to feel or look better? Can you help them in these areas? Are there people out there who need help with learning a topic like math or maybe a language? Of course.
So, the key to earning income with your new blog is to create content that can help others. I hope this post has been helpful to you.
Are you seeking how to start blogging in India? If so, I am glad you have made it here to Internet of Business. Blogging is one of the best ways digital entrepreneurs build passive income. No, it is not an easy process. You also have to have a long-term vision and be very patient. Remember, the majority of people have not been taught what I discuss here on the website. Business schools teach their students to be highly paid employees. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being an employee.
The only problem is you are working for linear income. Income that stops coming in the moment you stop showing up for work. So, it can be limiting. There are only 24 hours in a day. So, have to to think of new ways in order to generate income while you sleep. My aim with Internet of Business is to share with you my top strategies in order to start earning residual income. Income that continues to come in for having worked hard once time.
How to start blogging in India takes first investing in yourself. I highly recommend you check out Siteground. You can buy you own website domain for 1429 Indian rupees. Siteground is also where I host my 4 websites at. Remember, if something goes wrong with your website you want to ensure you have customer support available to fix it. Siteground will take care of that for you as well.
My top recommendation is focus on the needs of other people first. Worry about what you want second. The vast majority of bloggers make little to no money. Why? They are focused on what they desire and want. So, you have to be willing to create content without expecting anything in return first. Also, you need to make sure you are going proper keyword research. What search terms are you potential visitors and customers already searching into the search engines?
A major mistake I see bloggers making is writing about anything that comes to mind. There is a proper way to write a blog post as well. So, you have to make sure you are placing your long-tail keyword in the proper places within your blog post as well. Remember, the more blog posts you write the higher chances people will find the content you are creating.
I would highly recommend using tools like KWFinder to find the keywords your customers are searching for. So, find keywords with high search volume and low competition. KWFinder also makes it easy to filter our keywords that very easy to rank for from those that are hard to rank for. Do you have a brand new website? You most certainly want to get KWFinder. The reason being is you will want to only write about keywords that have very low competition.
One of the top ways beginner bloggers can make money in India is to create a course. You can use softwares like Podia to do this. I use this software to create my running courses on rundreamachieve.com. In addition, the Podia platform also will permit you to create your own website. Also, start a membership site and house your e-mail marketing campaigns. Seeking how to start blogging in India?
I would highly recommend creating courses. Yes, they will take some time to make. That being said, once you make your course you can sell it over and over again on your blog. You will then use KWFinder to find keywords revolved around the topic of your course. Are you good at drawing? Why not make a course focused on helping others become better drawers? Are you a mathematician? There are many people who want to be better at math. So, make a course around that topic.
Again, always focus on the needs of others and you will be a successful blogger in India. Digital entrepreneurship is one of the best methods to generate residual income. Of course, it takes time, patience and consistent action on your part. That being said, it will be a labor of love. Remember, you are working for yourself and not for someone else. So, your income potential is going to come down to how focused and driven you are.
Bloggers in India can get paid in many ways via blogging. You can start a home based business and share someone else’s products. Network marketing is one way of doing this. So, you can write about whatever company you join on your blog. You can also sign up to be an affiliate and utilize affiliate marketing as an additional revenue stream on your blog. Affiliate marketing is simply sharing someone else’s products.
It is free to sign up as an affiliate. So, when someone buys a product using your affiliate link you earn a commission. In addition, you don’t have a ceiling on how much income you can generate each month being an affiliate too. For example, I pay my affiliates a 40% commission for sharing my running courses on rundreamachieve.com. My Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course sells for $197. So, my affiliates each $78.80 USD every time they sell this course.
It is free to do this and is another revenue stream you can add to your blog. You notice there is a video here on this post which comes from my YouTube channel. So, making videos and vlogging is an additional way for you to earn residual income. More importantly, for more people to find you and help build your brand. Remember, to start earning income with YouTube you need at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time.
So, you want to make sure you are creating weekly video content on your YouTube channel. Again, how to start blogging in India takes patience and diligence. Yes, you can make legitimate income with a blog. That being said, you also need to be very consistent with your content creation too.
Invest in a Blogging Course
An additional way of how to start blogging in India is to invest in a blogging course. I invested in the 6-Figure blogger course. It was created by Lauren and Nick over at createandgo.com. They make 6 figures per month with their two blogs. The best way to learn the proper way to blog is to study from professionals who know more than you.
I have been blogging since 2011 and have built numerous websites that earn me income. That being said, I didn’t start making money quickly nor does anyone else. I see far too many blogger quitting too soon. Again, you have to really want this. It has to be something you are going to consistently work on each week.
I like this course because it walks you through the exact steps in order to get more traffic to your blog. Remember, the more content you create the more chances people will find you. Also, make sure you write legitimate content. The majority of top-ranking posts are a minimum of 1,000 words and many are over 4000 words. So, generate value for other people and share with them tips to succeed.
I hope that this blog post provided you with some ideas of how to start blogging in India. Make sure to subscribe to the Internet of Business YouTube channel. My goal is to create at least one new video there each week to help you in your blogging journey. Remember, the most important tips is create value for other people. In addition, always place their needs and desires before your own.
Find out what it is your potential customers and visitors to your website are searching for. Utilize the tools that I have mentioned in this post and you will speed up your success rate. Lastly, don’t just write about anything that comes to mind. Do your keyword research and use KWFinder mentioned above. Scroll up and click on the KWFinder link to learn more. These resources are a must have for new and advanced-level bloggers.
One of the major factors affecting entrepreneurship is wanting results too quickly. Blogging and building your brand online takes time and patience. You also have to be strategic as digital entrepreneurship takes using tools like KWFinder to be successful. The vast majority of people are living paycheck to paycheck. In fact, 78 percent of Americans are living this way. It is even worse in other parts of the world.
So, to be an entrepreneur you are not guaranteed a paycheck like the employee is. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being an employee. There are plenty of employees who love what they do for a living. That being said, these working professionals have a ceiling on their income. There are only 24 hours in a day. So, only so much time you can provide a service to others. In addition, you are only paid for the work that you do. You are not paid for the work that other people do.
I always advocate starting a home based business. Network marketing may be deemed a “pyramid scheme” to some, to others it is an opportunity. There are so many revenue streams you can start building this week. Revenue streams that even business school does not teach students. For example, creating courses with Podia. Podia doesn’t take transaction fees either. You pay 1 monthly payment of $33 USD and can make as many courses as you want.
Factors Which Affect Entrepreneurship
Of course, there are other factors affecting entrepreneurship if you are aiming for a brick and mortar business such as…
Political Factors. Political factors play a huge role in the development of entrepreneurship in a given geographical area. …
Availability of Capital. .
So, what types of business you are aiming to create will dictate how these factors will come into play. The better way to go is to create a brand or business online. Content creators such as YouTubers are one of the fastest growing business models in existence. Yes, it takes time to build a YouTube channel but it is also free to do so. Remember, you will need at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time in order to monetize your channel.
The other factors affecting entrepreneurship are monetary. It definitely takes financial resources to to build a business. That being say, it cost far less if you are seeking to become a digital entrepreneur. Digital entrepreneurs create products or share other people’s products and earn income online. It is also passive income unlike the linear income employees have to keep showing up for work in order to receive.
Money doesn’t grow on trees we were taught. Untrue. You can create digital money trees that can pay you for years to come. Yes, you do need to nurture and take care of these digital trees. That being said, it is not that hard to take care online properties. You simply need to be consistent with your content creation. You also need to be smart in how you create your content.
For example, never write a blog post about anything that comes to mind. You should always do your keyword research before creating any form of written or oral content. I use TubeBuddy for my YouTube videos. TubeBuddy helps me to find long tail keywords that people are already typing into YouTube. A major mistake new YouTubers make is making videos about anything that comes to their mind.
how to be an entrepreneur
The biggest factors affecting entrepreneurship is time and money for many new entrepreneurs. Again, if you decide to start your business online you are ahead of the power curve. The reason being is you will have no employees to hire unless you choose to hire a virtual assistant. Fiverr is a great resource in order to hire professionals to make a logo, create a website or anything else for you.
Remember, you are your own boss. So, you dictate how much you are going to earn each month based off your actions. I highly suggest checking out the 6-Figure Blogger course. It covers the specific areas of your blog or website you need to enhance so that you can start earning more online. There is no guaranteed paycheck being an entrepreneur. So, you have to be willing to create content and regularly. Again, the more value you can generate for others the better off you are going to be.
So, put you focus and time into helping to solve a problem that other people have. People want to be fitter, have more money and more time with their loved ones. Can you create a course around something like that to help them? I do at rundreamachieve.com and create running courses to help athletes perform at higher levels in endurance races.
Share Other People’s Products
You can also earn supplemental income by sharing other people’s products also known as affiliate marketing. It also doesn’t cost any money to do this. For example, I pay my affiliates at rundreamachieve.com a 40% commission for sharing my running courses. My Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course sells for $197. So, each of my affiliates earn $78.80 USD every time someone purchases my course using their affiliate link.
Also, you earn 40% commissions on all of the running courses that I have created. Why hasn’t this source of revenue creation taught in our school systems? I love education, hold an MBA and finishing up a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) currently. That being said, I love self-education more. Would you like to sign up for free to be a rundreamachieve affiliate? Do so and start earning additional passive income.
The key strategy is to create online resources that can help others succeed. The focus should always be on how you can solve a problem within the marketplace. Would you like to keep in touch? If so, be sure to subscribe to the Internet of Business YouTube channel. I am to make 1 new video there each week to help entrepreneurs and employees build their brand and business.
There are so many revenue streams you can create. You just have to think outside the box. Remember, this style of earning income is not taught in our school systems. We are taught to be workers and employees. In addition, how to climb the corporate ladder. There is plenty of money to be made but limited time. So, create content and products that can help you to get paid over and over again, without you having to be somewhere.
Why is it so interesting to desire to be a lifestyle entrepreneur? Leverage. Leverage simply means doing more with less. How many hard working, highly educated people do you know who are barely making ends meet financially? I have known many. Why are 78 percent of the working population in the united States of America living paycheck to paycheck? They have been taught an old, tired Industrial Aged philosophy of trading time (life) for money.
Yes, there are most certainly people who love their jobs and you may be one of them. So, my focus in writing this is not to disrespect employees. It is only to remind you of what it is going on. The best decision you can make as a lifestyle entrepreneur is to get involved in digital entrepreneurship. The idea of creating a digital product that solves other people’s problems was not taught to us.
We were not taught how to make money work hard for us in our school systems. What were we taught? How to climb the corporate ladder and work hard for money. There are only 24 hours in a day and only so much service you can provide at your job. In addition, most employees have a ceiling on their income.
Is being an entrepreneur a lifestyle?
There is nothing guaranteed as an entrepreneur. The vast majority of people are taught to be employees and rightly so. The good thing with working a full-time or part-time is at least you have a paycheck coming in. Digital entrepreneurs much like being a lifestyle entrepreneur requires you to think outside the box. You need to be working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on how to solve a problem.
The best way to be successful as an entrepreneur is to be consistent in your actions. Remember, your work output will dictate your level of success. The more time you spend in creating solutions to problems that other people have the better off, you will be. The focus should never be on what you want but what other people want. So, focus all of your attention as a lifestyle entrepreneur on providing value for others.
One of the best ways to start your own online business is to invest in a siteground blog. It is only $17.99 USD to buy your own website domain. Of course, you will need to have your website hosted somewhere. I recommend Siteground as they only charge $3.99 USD per month or just over $35 per year.
Blogging is one of the best ways to build your brand and be a lifestyle entrepreneur. I would also highly recommend checking out Alex and Lauren’s, founder of Create and Go, six figure blogger course. I invested in this course to help improve upon the other blogs I have online.
Yes, it has taken up-front work but am now earning residual income online. Remember, you want to study what successful people do and duplicate their work habits. Passive income is possible as a lifestyle entrepreneur but you have to be willing to put in the work first.
Money doesn’t grow on trees? Not true. You can build 1 or multiple online money trees that will yield you fruit (profits). That being said, you have to nurture and build them first. The reality is most people are unwilling to persist long enough in order to see this become a reality.
What is the easiest business to start?
A home based business is a very easy business to start. Of course, building it and increasing your number of customers and fellow distributors is the hard part. Yes, it can be done as I have a home based business with Herbalife. I have been with them for over 3 years now. No, I didn’t start making money in the first week but did in the first 3 months. I used search engine optimization to do it. The vast majority of distributors for multi-level marketing companies are taught to use social media.
Of course, it works for many but I didn’t want to chase people down. In addition, spam people with messages with Facebook or Instagram. My goal was to create value online at nutritiongeeks. The end result was to let the people who visited the site make up their own mind. They could join if they liked the content I created there. So, I didn’t have to keep sending messages. Again, the end goal of every lifestyle entrepreneur should be to use leverage.
Create value for other people whether via blogging or vlogging. The main take away here is to make sure you are using tools that will help set you up for success. You don’t want to guess about what your customers are typing into the search engines.
What skills does an entrepreneur need?
Persistent and consistent action. Lifestyle entrepreneurs should always be seeking to use leverage. I already know you know how to work hard. Does hard work create financial freedom? We already know for many people it does not. Why? We have been taught to rely on one source of income. How can you get ahead financially if you have 10 to 15 bills to pay but only 1 source of income? The paycheck is not getting it done for most people.
As mentioned above, as you build your business online you need to utilize tools to help you succeed. KWFinder is one such tool perfect for new or established bloggers. It will ensure you are writing about keywords that have low competition and high search volume. A major mistake I see a lot of bloggers making is writing about anything that comes to mind. Remember, you can write the best blog post. What if no one can find it?
So, it is essential that you find keywords that you can rank for. It is even more important if you have a new blog with no traffic going to it. The best way to gain readers and increase your traffic is using search engine optimization. Scroll up and click on the blue link where I discuss the 6 figure blogger course. Do you want to make six figures online monthly with your blog? I highly suggest taking a look at that course. No, it isn’t an easy process but if others can do it so can you.
How do lifestyle brands make money?
There are multiple ways to build your brand online and make money. No, you will not here about these even in business schools. I hold an MBA from Purdue University and never heard about these methods. In fact, I am currently finishing my Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Missouri-St Louis and have yet to hear about any of these methods…
Create a course with Podia – Yes, it takes time to create one but once it is made it is made. You don’t have to keep creating new courses unless you choose to. Podia charges one flat fee of $33 and they don’t take any transaction fees when you sell the course you make. Also, you can make as many courses you want and the fee per month remains the same.
Start a YouTube channel – I wish I would have done this sooner but it is never too late to get started. Also, it doesn’t cost any money to start a YouTube channel. The best way to build your lifestyle entrepreneur business is get your brand, products and services to as many people as possible. A blog is only one way to do this. I highly recommend you invest in TubeBuddy though. TubeBuddy will ensure you are using correct keywords in the title of your YouTube videos. Again, use leverage!
Share other people’s products – Affiliate marketing is one way to build additional revenue streams. The more of these you can create the more money you can put back into your business. You can share the products I have created and earn a 40% commission. For example, I sell my Sub 3 Hour Marathon Pro course for $197. So, my affiliates earn $78.80 USD every time someone buys one of my courses using your affiliate link. Sign up for free to become a RunDreamAchieve affiliate.
What are examples of revenue streams?
Membership sites are another revenue stream you can build. Podia makes it simple to do this. Yes, you will have to create exclusive, private content. That being said, the more customers that join your membership site the higher your monthly income will go. Again, this is just one of many other revenue streams you can build. No, you will not hear about these in business school.
Business schools are there for employees seeking to be highly paid managers. I was not taught any of this working toward my MBA. So, to be a successful lifestyle entrepreneur you have to think outside the box. You only have 24 hours in a day. Yes, you may love your job but there is only so many hours in a day you can provide that service to others.
You need to find additional ways to generate income throughout the day whether you are working or not. Residual income is not the same as the linear income you earn at a job. Residual (passive) income continues to come in for having worked hard once.
